Source and Select a Global Production Partner for DAZN

The Challenge
DAZN, a leading video streaming service, dedicated to live and on-demand sports events, headquartered in London with an in-house team streaming global events. The requirement was to source and select a strategic partner to provide creative and production services to facilitate their rapid global expansion. The new partner would service 20+ territories utilising marketing toolkits for TV, digital, social, print, out of home and radio.

Why TKM
Our knowledge of the production agency landscape and latest MarTech to enable content automation and DAM ensured we were able to advise and support the production consultancy drafted in to lead the relationship with DAZN.

What We Did
Alongside the production consultancy, we drafted an RFP that focused on the following criteria: market coverage, efficient process for delivery, creative capability, production capability (quality levels and scale), high quality team, chemistry, technology capability and cost efficiency (robust rate cards). We selected a short list of six production agencies and invited them to participate.

What We Delivered
We managed the RFP processes, coordinated responses, managed presentations and pitches from each vendor, scored and appraised the results of the RFP and selected a final two. Based on an executive summary for each vendor and following a period of commercial negotiation, the contract was awarded to one global production agency. The whole process took 2 months.

The Outcomes
A perfect match. We had an outstanding production agency with global presence, the right capabilities and excellent chemistry to support the in-house team, around the transcreation needs of DAZN across 20 territories. Assets were produced and delivered on time and at scale. DAZN has gone on to become the global leader in sports streaming.
